Separation Anxiety in Dogs
Dogs are pack animals which makes them fun to hang with yet it also
at the essence of why dogs become "stressed" when they are left alone
and separated away from you.. the leader of the pack.
The tearing, scratching, whining and even destruction is the
result of the stress caused separation anxiety.
It is a way that Fido vents :)
Sadly, some folks don't understand the problem, think that Fido is
BAD and may give him up ..maybe even dropping him off at the dog
pound where his future is tenuous at best.

There really are simple ways to resolve Fido's separation anxiety.
The first thing to work on is teaching Fido that when you leave

-Give Fido a special toy when you leave to occupy him while you
-Go out of the house frequently and come back extending each time
away by 10-20 minutes. Just walk out, don't make a fuss then come
back without a big greeting or fuss ..do it again and again.
Fido will get bored with the coming and going and the anxiety will
diminish during the periods of separation.
If Fido has exceptionally high anxiety, you may, in the beginning
want to incorporate a little homeopathic relief. One that we

people and pets.
I used the human version myself years ago when my father was
