Mold in Dog Food?
Did you know that deadly molds, called mycotoxins, have been found
to be present in some commercial dog food products?
When dogs eat even a small amount of mycotoxin on a daily basis,
the results may be the onset of diseases such as liver and kidney
fibrosis, infections, a weakened immune sytem and cancer.
For more information on how to heal liver disease in dogs visit
So, what types of dog food products are most prone to carry these
dangerous mycotoxins? Grains that are often used as fillers
including: corn, wheat and to some extent: barley and oats.
Our dogs are sicker than ever before. Fifty years ago dogs that ate
table scraps enjoyed lifespans that many dogs eating retail store
dog food will never enjoy.
And it is all unnecessary...we just need to be informed. The next
time you pick up a product from a retail shelf do more than read
the front side promotion. Read the ingredients. The first
ingredients are what the product/food is mostly made of.
If you see suspect ingeredients, put it back..try another or make a
healthy food or treat at home. And it wouldn't hurt to tell the
retailer that they are selling a potentially unhealthy and illness
When enough people do, and the junk stops selling, the
manufacturers may start to clean up their act...maybe:)
Today, the numbers of informed dog guardians who do more than
accept the dictums of their local vet and commercial dog food
companies continues to grow.
People are asking, learning, taking advantage of new therapies and
protocols unheard of by most just a few years ago.
Our goal is not to make the decision for you, only to provide you
with another point of view that has enjoyed success and increased
longevity for many dogs.
Once informed, the choice is yours. You will then be able to make
the best decision possible under the circumstances for your dog.
Your dog is a member of your family. Does she deserve any less?
This a common rant from us and if you have been a subscriber for
awhile you have heard us say this many times.
And we will continue to do so to protect dogs wherever they live.
That's all for today..our dogs are ready to go outside and so am I:)
Spend some time with your dog getting some exercise, outdoors if
possible. It'll be good for both of you !
