Naki’o was just a puppy when he was discovered, close to death in a foreclosed  Nebraska home. Sitting in a frozen puddle down in the basement he was taken to an animal shelter.

Severely frostbitten, this heroic mixed brred puppy lost his 4 paws and even part of his tail.

Surviving at that point, it remained to be seen if the puppy could learn to walk again

 But…Puppies have tremendous abilities to rebound

Adopted by a family who deserves a hero pup, they contacted Orthopets, a firm specializing in pet prosthetics. Initially fitting Naki’o the Bionic Dog for 2 paws, he as done so well that they donated 2 more so he would have a full set.

Happy with four prosthetic paws, Naki’o runs and plays and enjoys life, unaware of his celebrity level status. Even if he is not aware of our watching him, we know he is a celebrity of sorts,, a happy and live loving once handicapped but no Bionic Dog!
